Be yourself. Dance from your heart!
To be yourself fully is like doing what you love like no one is watching. Just like dancing without judgement.
Driven by passion and intuition, Alexa Fox inspires women to embrace self-expression and self-discovery through dance.
Meet Alexa Fox
Founder of Women In The Rhythm (WITR), dance coach, performer, mum, health/fitness enthusiast, holiday lover and personal transformation advocate. Alexa inspires women to express themselves through dance, blending passion and intuition. A lady with a thousand questions and genuine interest in people's stories.
The seeds were sawn...
Alexa was born in Hungary to a dance and music loving mother and a DJ / guitarist father, growing up surrounded by music and dance, with parents already separated. Due to relocations, Alexa felt segregated a lot, missing out on many activities. Alexa couldn't spend as much time at the practices as she wanted, because there was always a bus to catch to go home on time. Though her childhood was tough, dancing in a hip-hop group gave her a sense of purpose and belonging. Dancing at home was seen as and felt like a useless activity back then. Despite challenges, she found freedom and creativity in dance, which became her way to escape and express herself.
After becoming a mum, Alexa missed dancing and wanted a space where she could freely dance and connect with others. This led to the creation of WITR, a space for like-minded women to dance, grow, and be themselves.
Dancing allowed Alexa to travel to other places, be lost in time, fuel her imagination and creativity, feel energised and uplifted, even if others didn’t understand it.
She often felt unsupported in her expression, but learned that her thoughts were her own that couldn't be controlled, sparking her journey toward individualism.
As a busy mum of two little children, she missed dancing freely and couldn’t find options nearby, which led her to create WITR – a space for women to dance, connect, and express themselves.
